Candy!

April photo challenge Today’s photo for the April Photo a day Challenge is Candy. I don’t do candy very often so I wasn’t sure what to take a picture of for this one. I love Recees, but I don’t get it very often simply because I don’t eat candy very often. My hubby loves chocolate, but even that we don’t have in the house at the moment, so I found the one this we have in the house right now (that is not really candy, but it’s the closest I have at the moment). 20160411_124536 This is the hubby’s absolute favorite cookie. This year he bought 3 boxes because he knows they are not around for long. Have a great day! Renee

Chalkboard Labels Mega Bundle

20160410_135459   Get it on Amazon This bundle is exactly what I have been looking for! It has small labels for small jars, and larger labels for the bigger stuff. The magnetic shopping list is an added plus. Now I don’t have to keep a peice of paper on the fridge. The marker for the shopping list works great. And it wipes off clean. The chalk marker does not smear once dry so you labels stay nice and neat. *I received this product for free or at a discount for my honest review.*

Keeva Organic Conditioner

20160408_144053 Get it on Amazon So, my daughter is absolutely loving this conditioner I was given to try. She says her hair is so much easier to comb through after her showers. The smell is fantastic! And it doesn’t go away as soon as your hair dries like some conditioners do. I can still smell it in her hair the day after her shower. The ingredients are all natural like Argan Oil, Tea Tree Oil, and Coconut Oil. The reason I had to have my daughter try this is that my husband is extremely allergic to coconut and coconut oil. But I have to say, after my daughter has used it for about a week now, her hair is looking better than it has in a very long time.

This  is my favorite photo frame that we have in the house right now. We got this frame for Christmas from Aarron’s mom and dad. The pictures in it are of Aarron, myself, my daughter, and Jackie. We have since been able to put up a few more pictures, but this one is still my favorite. Not […]

OK. So in my attempt to slow things down a bit I have come across a few good recipes for bread. Since finding these recipes I have not bought bread because they are fabulous! I want to share them because they are so good and because we need to start looking at where our food comes from. There are so many artificial products that are sold every day, but do we really know where any of it comes from. The more you do yourself, the fewer chemicals and toxins you will ingest. The first recipe for white bread is from the website “Dinner with the Bickfords“.  This particular recipe is for the bread machine.  My husband recently bought me one and I was determined to use it. The recipe is so simple, I thought “This will not turn out alright, it’s too easy”. However, to my surprise it was amazing!

1. In bread machine place, water, oil, and salt

1 1/3 cup warm water
1/3 cup oil
2 tsp salt

2. Add flour on top of liquids. Place sugar in one corner. Make a well in the flour and place yeast in the well.

4 cups flour
2 tbsp and 2 tsp sugar
3 tsp yeast

3. Start bread machine! I use the basic bread setting on mine and it takes about 2 and 1/2 hours.

For those who prefer Wheat bread, no worries! I have you covered as well. My father will only eat wheat bread so I had to find one that he would like. After many near misses, I finally found one that he likes too. This recipe comes from bread machine recipe. Again this is for the bread machine.

1. Add water, butter, and salt to the bread machine.

1 1/4 cup water
1 1/2 tsp butter
1 3/4 tsp salt

2. Add flour, sugar, and yeast on top of liquids.

1 3/4 cup wheat flour
1 3/4 cup flour
1 3/4 tsp sugar
1 3/4 tsp yeast

3. Start bread machine! I use the basic loaf setting on my machine which takes about 2 and 1/2 hours to finish.

Another great way to know what chemicals one is taking in is to make your own butter as well. I use an organic whipping cream and put it the food processor. This takes about 5 min or so. This will produce both butter and buttermilk. Separate the two and you can use the buttermilk for other recipes as well. As the whipping cream starts to form the butter you will notice liquid also forms. This liquid is the buttermilk. To get all of the liquid out of the butter just press the butter in cheese cloth after it’s done. I hope you enjoy these recipes as much as I do.

Ok. So on the slowing down I am not sure things are going so well as I seem to be more busy lately than usual. LOL. I am beginning to wonder in this fast paced world, if one really can slow down.
I have come across a few good ways to make money from home and most of them require mostly nothing but clicking a few links.  One I have already received payment from is Inbox dollars. They give you $5.00 to sign up and send you email that you click the link and earn money from. They also have other things you can do to make money. They require $30.00 before you can cash out and it usually takes me a couple weeks to a month to come to this balance. The link to sign up if interested is http://www.inboxdollars.com/?r=ref15111663
Another one that I like is Mypoints. This is another one that pays you for doing certain things. I have also been paid on this one several time. They don’t offer a link to sign up but if you do sign up and are asked if you were referred please mention my name.
Ebates is another site that pays you to shop online. They send a check every couple of months and you earn cash back on purchases you make online. If you do any online shopping at all this is one to check out. The link to sign up is http://www.ebates.com/rf.do?referrerid=A%2F%2BXP%2FRtQW2pKMMpZNQW9w%3D%3D&eeid=26471. I have already been paid by this one twice so they do pay when they say they will. My next check comes next month!
These are the only ones I have actually been paid through so far but I am looking at other websites similar to these. I will post them here also if they actually pay out. I would hate to post something that I am unsure of. So look forward to seeing more links like this.
