So we are in Southern Arizona and it get very hot during the summer months. I have a hard time being outdoors when the temperatures get above 100 but over 110 is miserable. This week our temps will be over 110 every day. Needless to say I am not loving the weather right now. So we have to find ways that we can cool down during the long hot days.

Our pool gave up last year so we had to find something different this year. We had this water trough that was not doing anything because it had a hole in the bottom of it. Aarron decided that he could fix the hole pretty easy and we are going to use this to cool off at the end of the day. We even have a bubbler thing that goes in your tub to make it more like a hot tub that we are considering using in it. I guess we shall see how that works out but for now it’s just a good way to cool off at the end of the day.

The hole pictured above was the hole that Aarron needed to fix. He decided on a quick fix for now rather than trying to weld in this heat. He took a can lid and some waterproof caulk to fix the hole. The fix is pictured in the next photo.  Then we filled it with water and I am so looking forward to getting in there this evening and every evening here on out during the hot weather.

So his patch is working great so far. It doesn’t appear to be losing water yet so that is a good thing. We haven’t decided on the home spa thing yet so we shall see on that one. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to heat the water or not so that will be the deciding factor on if we use it or not. Maybe something for the winter months if it does heat the water.
