I received this book for free or at discount for my honest review.
When I first started reading this book, I didn’t think I would be able to read it. It hits really close to home right now for me. Caroline has just lost her dad and the beginning of the story is about the way she is feeling about losing her dad. Well I just lost my dad a few months ago and this hit me hard because I know, that like Caroline, I had not dealt with my feelings about this loss. So when I started the book, I didn’t know if I was going to be able to finish it.
I am glad that I did though because also like Caroline, I think I am able to deal with this loss a little better now. Even though it took going on an adventure for Caroline and almost forgetting about her parents completely to understand that losing someone you love is hard, but you have to remember the good about that person.
Loss is hard but you have to remember the good about the person and all the good times you had with that person to be able to get through it. I was fighting this because I didn’t think I could remember my dad yet without crying and hurting so bad. Thanks to this book, I figured out that I can remember my dad and the love that I feel for him without it hurting so bad, it just takes a bit of time. And thankfully, I didn’t have to almost forget my dad to realize this.

However, I would also recommend this book to anyone who likes fantasy type books as well because the adventure she goes on is a good one.
I would love to know if you read this book. Leave me a comment below and let me know what you thought of it.
Have a great day!
