I wrote last month about planting the greenhouse for the coming summer months to grow our own veggies and herbs. I have to say that I am pleased with the progress we are making. I already have a few things that I am going to have to gather. So all in all, I think this is going to be a good year.
The picture above shows the basil and thyme that are coming along nicely. Above the thyme is dill which is about ready to harvest.
This picture shows the Arugula, dill, parsley and lavender. I’m not sure how well the lavender is going to do yet. It’s not looking like it’s going to come up well. But you can see the Arugula and parsley are doing great and ready to harvest.
This picture shows the grape vine. It has taken off this year! I can’t wait to see how many grapes we get from this.
This one shows the cucumber and tomato plants. The cucumber is doing well, and the tomato plants are just starting to come up. I am hopeful that we will get tomatoes this year.
These are the pumpkin plants. They are really starting to grow now. I can’t wait to make fresh pumpkin pie and pumpkin bread this year.
This one shows the spinach and cilantro. Both are starting to come in now. Have you ever had fresh spinach? It’s amazing! I would love to know if you have a garden this year and how it’s doing. Leave me a comment below and let me know.
Have a great day!
Renee
I have planted some spinach, lettuce and peas, about a month ago and they are starting along quite nicely. I don't have a greenhouse, so usually buy starts for things like tomatoes and and pumpkins and cucumbers, but have sometimes started my own pumpkins and squash inside. Hopefully I can find some good ones soon. It will soon be warm enough to plant them outside too!
What a wonderful progress! I would love to try planting those at home!xoxoLovelyhttp://mynameislovely.com
